Online ammo sites
« on: June 10, 2021, 10:28:58 PM »
Looking to buy some bulk 12 gauge target rounds and .357 magnum rounds for a buddy's bachelor party.  What are your go-to sites for checking prices?  I've looked at Roger's sporting goods, midwayusa, and cheaper than dirt, but haven't found what I'm looking for.  Any better suggestions? Obviously ammo is hard to come by right now, just looking for some good go-to sites to keep an eye on inventory and prices.  Thank you.

2/3 you mentioned are gougers so please don't drop a boatload of cash on them.

Try what dan-o the man-o said and try wikiarms or gun deals

Best of luck

Seems the on-line retailers are the worst gougers on ammo currently.  Sportco has been getting in stock fairly frequently and was as bad on price as many other locations.

If people stop buying at those prices then they'll bring them down. But even at high prices it sells out so why should they bring them down?

Hit me with a PM. I might be able to provide a few boxes of 12 guage at 2015 pricing.

For 12 gauge keep checking Walmart's it's hit and miss, a buddy just got 3 100 packs. Sportco and Sportsman's is the same hit and miss, prices are higher better grade of ammo. Hopefully the @TheStovePipeKid has enough.

One of the worst local gougers since before the panic and even worse was SAA in Tacoma. Talking 60$ for 50rds of ball 9mm
And damn near 2$/Rd for 556.

Sportsman's Warehouse is starting to get a pretty steady supply of 12 ga ammo. The one here in Spokane has had a couple hundred boxes in stock for last week or two. Federal Top gun is $9 and Winchester is $9.49-$10. You're limited to 2 boxes, but it's going to be hard to find it cheaper right now. I've been looking for 357 for like 6 months now, so good luck. I've only seen a couple boxes locally and most were at indoor ranges and were only sold to shooters. When it pops up online its usually upwards of $1.25 a round and even 38 Special is about $1 when I've seen it online lately.

It is out there. Pricing ‘depends’.
Ammoseek just lists all ammo the search bot finds, wherever it finds it, and tells you where it is. They don’t price stuff.
I have picked up a few things for ‘now days’ cheap prices, and I have paid premium ‘now days’ prices for items. Just depends on how bad you want it.
The stores that are buying at ‘now’ prices for resale are paying more for trucking/shipping and the items themselves. I did just read that Remington has reopened a plant 24/7 that was closed, so that may help with supplies some.
Cuterebra are NOT cute!

Has anyone here ever bought from AmmoShopOnline.com?  Wikiarms directed me there, prices seem too good to be true, which I know what that means.  Reviews are very mixed.

I've dealt with ammoshoponline.com. Just a little wait to get it. Ammo is good so far. I have used the 9mm and the 223. Have some more 9mm coming Monday along with some 308.

I have had nothing but good experience.

SGAmmo had some great prices on shotgun shells and goofball rifle ammo. I got 2 cases of .250 savage for around .80 a round last fall. But prices have jumped considerably. Looks like the same for shotgun shells. Every now and then they get ammo in at decent prices

I ended up pulling the trigger on some Norma .357 mag ammo at .60 a round (+shipping) from ammoshoponline.  I contacted Norma and they said it's a legit site.  Took a few days to ship but so far I have a tracking number and it seems to be slowly getting here via fedex.  If it all checks out, they seem to have pretty great prices and stock of things currently.  Again, seemed too good to be true, so still skeptical until it shows up.  Good to hear others having positive experience with them.

Just following up on this, the ammo came in as it was supposed to about 10 days after I ordered. Very pleased with the end result.
