High Buck Hunt Buck
« on: November 09, 2007, 10:38:32 AM »
My budy killed this guy up in the Glacier Peake wilderness this september. We packed in for a 5 day hunt and this was the only legal buck we saw. I got a glimps of him the 1st evening and it took 3 more days of watching the area for him to make a mistake and offer a shot. The year before I got a little 3x3 with double eyeguards.

Awe....the colors on that ground sure look like High Hunt terrain.  Would love to see some other pics.  With those surrounding areas your buddy had to have taken some other pics......  That's a great High Hunt buck.

The rest of the pics are in the 2 meg size range. This is the only low res one we took for posting on the internet. We left the background out because the area is easy access and not at all a secret. We wouldnt want to add to the crowding by showing the potential.

I guestimate the buck in the 150 range. Not a book deer but it is the biggest I've ever seen in Washington that was legal for the taking when I was looking at it.

Good photo, Good Buck, Good Job!  Looks like he is sleeping.  Did you snap this photo with a long range zoom lens just prior to the trigger snap?  Seriously,  I really appreciate photos without blood showing on the trophy.  Something I've been guilty of most of time.

That shot took a bit of dragging, to get to flat clean ground, and some clean up and creative positioning. Here is a pic of a little Sitka I took up on POW a few years back. I personaly dont care for blood, or tongues hanging out in my pics. I've gotten a bit better at the pics with time.

Not sure how I messed that up. Second try.
