Not so much
But kitsap has big deer in small places
Usually private

Yup.

Here's a buck we had on the cam behind my parent's house. The next one is my 2017 Kitsap archery buck.

I have a buddy that gets good pictures of deer on a cam that on state land. Also lots of pictures of bears chewing on it  :bash:
As far as hikers go, they tend to not like it when the rut starts and its 38 degrees with sideways freezing rain and you're out there wondering why you ever took up hunting. Those are the days when the trails are quiet and the deer are out. Lots of good bucks taken off state land when the weather is like that.

Came back for Christmas break last year and missed right through a bucks antlers due to a bad yardage on my first day out. Spent the next week and a half freezing from lunch till dark hoping to find another. This game sucks some times but its all part of the fun!

Nice
Biggest blacktail I ever laid eyes on crossed Seabeck highway on my way out for late buck
He was a giant
I jumped out on him and he stood 50 yards away looking at me behind an old farm gate
Houses around
So looked at him and said holy chit

627 has some big bucks hidden around. Like said above a lot are on private land but there is some nice ones on small tracks of public land that people dont go to. This is from a couple years ago but it is 2 of 9 different bucks on my dads property. There is state land not far behind his property on this side of the road and there is a small 40 acre piece of DNR that borders the piece he has on the other side of the road.

The Rayonier break down/ layout of pay to play properties and the amount per block makes no sense.

Should of went gmu and called it good....and when you charge the amount that an out of state tag costs...well no thanks...I got the free use pass and may pick up the 160 pass...but the 300 plus area's aren't worth it.
