does seem like a knee jerk reaction, but with the 4th around the corner and crazy high temps, I guess I don’t blame them.  They prob have forestry guys telling them what level the danger is??

Welcome to the new society, scared of any shadow!   Yes fire danger is high, Yes temps are high and YES the government agency's HAVE an agenda!  Remember that they tried to close snowmobile-ers out over "fire danger"(burnt tree might fall on them) last winter?  There is a "group" who will use any tactic they can think up to close public access to what they by law are suppose to "manage".

Got an email wanting us to put out our garbage cans the night before so drivers could pick them up early to help them get out of the on coming heat wave of the day.  I think most trucks have AC units in them and most driver's don't handle the cans much either anymore.

I guess the good ole days of open air combines are gone to! :chuckle: :chuckle:  We wouldn't want to harvest wheat unless AC is available!!  I miss those days as well as the ones falling timber with safety shaps across the front of my legs causing a burning sensation for hours on end.

Life must scare the you know what out of this new generation!  Rant over :hello: :hello:
The only good tree, is a stump!
