She’s a beauty. With that stock are you still running the factory magazine?

Yes

I bought a new bottom metal and 5 round mag but stuck with factory instead.

Sweet rifle! I’d love to get that same stock!

If you ever get the itch to replace the accutrigger, I recommend Rifle Basix. I am very pleased with their SAV-1. I tried Timney before Rifle Basix. The Timney did not work and my experience with their customer service was very poor.

That's a sweet looking rifle. What did the weight come out at without the scope?

My scale only goes to 6lbs so I couldn't tell. It should be right around factory weight or an ounce or 3 more. The factory plastic stock is very light. Because of the depth of the savage action they have to use their action chassis system or the stock would blow up under recoil. So buy using the 110 ultralight action that is factory blueprinted to the Proof barrel and the manners stock that has their chassis system, thus rifle should be a real shooter.

My youngest and I have put 15 rounds through in the back yard and can't believe how light the recoil is on this 6.5prc with the brake installed. Even against his fairly light recoiling 7mm-08 without a brake there is a vast difference.

nice set up.i bought a timmy trigger for my 7mm savage and after reading the instructions when to work and my bolt would not cock the rifle,in fact the bolt just came right out,so i put the stock trigger back in ..

I’ve got one in .223. Nothing fancy, factory stock with Sig Sauer Whiskey scope. Shoot’s lights out with Underwood Ammo (out of Montana) rounds.
