Ok So I have been up all morning researching some out of state hunts . I have sat on my butt long enough and its time to get with it ..LOL
Has anyone unit deer in North Dakota and if So any pointers on which units are best .  Whitetail or mule deer ...  I definitely need to do some pheasant hunting for sure too .. got to have the chicken and meat .. haha

You want to bow hunt or rifle??  There are bow options that are decent for non-residents but rifle is tough to impossible. They only will allow 1% of their firearm deer tags to non-residents and most of them go to non-resident landowners. They get first crack at the 1%.

I have hunted the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation a lot.  Whitetails and Muleys.  They have a lottery system.  Very hard to figure out what property to hunt, very unclear map of available properties.  They do have economical guide services.

I looked into it as I have a friend that lives there and could help with private access.  I know this year and last was bad with EHD, they are actually trying to buy 30,000 tags back to limit harvest.  Here are the areas:

2H, 2I, 2J1, 2K1, 3A1, 3A3, 3B1, 3B2, 3B3, 3C, 3D1, 3D2, 3E1, 3E2, 3F1, 3F2, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E and 4F
