Okanogan lakes….
« on: July 04, 2023, 06:12:47 PM »
We returned Monday from 4 days of camping and fishing. The Kokanee action was decent. We landed many 12-14” Kokanee. We were long line trolling in the evenings and also got several on worms, along with several Tiger trout. One tiger was 20”.  One fella camped near us was fishing from shore and he landed an 8# and 3# tigers on orange power bait! Crazy! We also hit another lake nearby and my wife caught one rainbow 2# on her first cast. I missed another one the same size.
All in all good fishing and weather up in the Okanogan.

Very nice!

Thanks.
It was the first time I could remember us ever catching Kokanee on the bottom. It was fun and it made it interesting not knowing what was hitting, a tiger trout or Kokanee?

Sounds like a great trip for sure. Took the kids over last month and other than we had wind rain and hail, it sounds about the same. Lol. We caught a fair amount of tigers this year too, nothing close to 20" but decent.
