Somehow Eastman’s found out about that bull and want to interview the hunter for a story.

Another nice 6x6 bull taken by a 70 year old bowhunter on one of our Montana leases. Congrats to a great hunter who got it done well!

We’ve got one more bull to get in Montana, he’s trying to hold out for one of the bigger bulls, fingers crossed for a chance at one of those bulls.

In Idaho the bulls are still pretty quiet and some are still bachelored up without cows, hoping that changes soon! 4 bulls spotted this morning and only one short bugle then totally quiet, couldn't find them again!

Some nice animals on this thread so far! That bull is really cool. Do any of the other bulls have that same characteristic on top?

Thanks, some of the older bulls get that mass and unique points in the top, but don't seem to show it until they get older.

This has definitely been a year for good bear hunting. Here’s Brian with a dream sized 7’ Idaho Blackie taken today with his hounds. This one will be life sized in the new log home he’s building.

The bear treed and Brian shot it, he was alone with his dogs, when it fell out of the tree it landed on a nest of bees in the ground, the dogs all were covered with bees stinging them, one dog collapsed from all the stings, Brian drug her on the ground to get the swarms of bees off her, then leashed her to a tree off a ways, then went to scrape bees off the other dogs, and tied them away from the bees one or two at a time. The collapsed dog woke back up while cleaning bees off other dogs. He hurried to the truck with dogs and dowsed himself with gasoline, he is mildly allergic to bee stings and has an eppi-pen just in case, the welts were already about half the size of golf balls but the gasoline worked really well, he never had to use the eppi-pen, he drove straight to a friends house who watched him for a while. Then two friends went back up on the mountain with Brian and helped him get the bear out.

He has been back home a couple hours and checking the dogs about every 30 minutes, so far it seems like they are going to be ok.
