Polk county fairgrounds is in rickreall OR which is just west of salem on hwy 22.  I do believe washington does have a similar event
but it's over in the tri cities area.

I went to it last year.  Picked up some good stuff.  Should have some calling competitions.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Yes the state and open duck and goose calling comps will be there. Also this year the custom duck call makers are having a big contest. Also new this year there will be a photo contest with the winning photos going in a calender. There will catagories for everyone. There will be a website up and running in the week or so. Somebody hacked the old site so it has to be redone.  The web site will have all the info on it soon.

I used to go when it was down by Scappoos, camped for the weekend, had a great time.  One of my duck boats even took first in the motorized duck boat division 2004.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I'm going to find when that is, and head over there.  I started hunting waterfowl for the first time last year and am hooked.  It would be a fun way to learn a few things.
