I was surprised when I saw this last week. The mid winter survey here counted record numbers of ducks & geese all along the Missouri River. And they were records by huge amounts. I guess they must have moved north

The total duck population estimate was nearly 560,000 birds below the long-term average and the lowest total duck population estimate since 2013.
