I don't have much hope since I'm only in for Quality deer and moose.

I thought my attitude last year was bad. I still put in for a couple draws this year, but looking at the numbers have nearly abandoned hope.

Does anybody have any resources to learn up on how the draw actually works? I've saw in the past people talking about witnesses etc but have no idea what actually happens. Seems like it could just be computerized and done the weekend after the buying window closes.

Started applying for quality deer special permits when I was 13 years old.  I turned 47 years old today.  Still never been drawn for it.  This is the Washington special permit draw in a nutshell.

My question is what have you applied for all those years? You obviously have not been lucky over those years, but if you only apply for the hardest to draw units each and every year - your odds are horrible to ever draw a tag anyway.

If youve been putting in for a draw that pulls 2 tags a year, 35 points gives you 1225 entries into a pool of hundreds of thousands, still less than 1% success odds. I dont have gohunt to verify so my numbers probably arent accurate, but the point is the same.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

GoHunt doesnt have the odds either since the state has not provided them draw statistics from 2022 or 2023 to date.  :dunno:
