OP, makes me jealous! I was supposed to go with my buddy this year on a similar hunt. He told me some good stories of the fun he had! He decided the Montana winters are too cold and is in progress of moving to Georgia. He’s hoping to find the waterfowl hotspots so I can do that instead.

I hear ya.  I grew up in the area I'm going so it's also a visit to my past.   I have had a couple buddies that have said they wanted to go in years past, but it never came together.  Last year I just decided that neither me or my dog are getting any younger so it just had to happen.
