Orcas Island fishing

Heading to Orcas Island in a couple weeks. Was going to bring some trout gear but was wondering if there is any good access for shore fishing? Love to get into some rock bass or lingcod. Any advice would be awesome.

West Beach Resort has a dock along with beer and ice cream that you can fish off.  I think they might charge a couple of bucks.  The kids caught a few sanddabs but no rockfish.  They might also rent boats, even a kayak would get you in decent fishing.

I've caught Coho off the rocks at Obstruction Park.

I'd recommend lake fishing, rather than ocean fishing, at least from shore.

Lots of rainbows in Lake Chelan... they also planted Cutthroat and Kokanee, but didn't catch any this year, mostly a rainbow lake.

Mountain lake has a bit of everything, small Kokanee and cutthroat are more common.

Twin lakes (if you want a small hike) have little brookies you can catch from shore!
