Idaho trout fishing
« on: September 14, 2024, 08:08:10 PM »
Had nothing going on today and thought we’d give one of our local ponds at around 3k feet elevation a try. It’s been getting cool at night and figured it would help the trout bite. I took a couple of my littles out and we fishing for about two hours. We kept a dozen and let go at least as many. Anyone hunting Idaho this Fall I’d recommend bringing a rod, these will make a great breakfast tomorrow.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

That’s good stuff. Way to go, Teach.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
