Ya it's a dumb rule. We hunted WY this year and were talking to some locals about the wilderness rule and they didn't even know about it. Crazy they don't let you hunt public land.
It is a bit weird that the state of Wyoming is regulating access to federal wilderness lands Any law for which the violation is a fine is not a ban, it is a feeWyoming is charging a $150 fee for out of state hunters to access federal wilderness areas, and only if they are caught and cited by a game warden in the fieldSeems like a law worth violating to me
Wyoming statute says nonresidents must have a licensed guide or resident companion to hunt big or trophy game in federally designated wilderness areas. The resident companion will need to get a free non-commercial guide license from a Game and Fish office

Yet if you wanted to hike, fish or grouse hunt thats legal
Is the hunting in the wilderness really THAT much better?
