Well, it could be worse...
« on: Yesterday at 01:33:26 PM »
Just picked this up this morning from the Sheriff's Office in Kelso.

Was taken in a burglary of my place while was at work in 2011.

Going to see if I can bring it back to some level of functionality.

Thinking am going to have to just skip past WD40 and go with something a little stronger to start...  :chuckle:

Yup, Marlin 25MN in .22 mag.

Had less than 2 boxes of rounds through it when somebody decided they needed it more than me.

I'm glad it was recovered. Sorry about the condition. Was the burglar caught?

Nope, no suspects ever identified.

My Win 70 in .30/06 that was taken at the same time is still out there somewhere in the world.

Hopefully it has been better taken of than this one was.

Was it recovered out of water/salt?

Yup, it has more hours as a submarine than rounds fired…

It will clean up. I just restored an old single shot 12g that was literally yard art for who knows how long and it looks amazing
