Coyote Hide Donation??
« on: December 24, 2007, 10:55:16 PM »
Hey guys...I know lots of you slay coyotes... I really want a hide soft tanned for my trophy room and Im not real picky if I killed it.

Michelle says she can tan one for me for an almost reasonable price...

So, if anyone happens to kill a nice big fat juicy coyote with pretty full thick sexy fur...and you dont plan to do anything with it... please throw it in the back of the truck and give me a call... :drool:

I want one but trying to get it cheaper than cabelas so I cant pay ya for it but Ill handle all the cutting...just toss it complete in bed of truck and Ill come take it off your hands. :rolleyes:

I know some of you kill a half dozen at a time and I have trouble believing ur doing anything productive with them!!??

let me know fellas.

Thanx

dave

I've got one, a Nevada high desert young of the year, already professionally tanned.

Make me an offer?

Young of the year, means thick soft puppy fur, from a coyote right under a year old.
Not completely full grown, and female, but still 51" of hide. (*a really big male might go 70+" stretched)

Being a high desert coyote it has a reddish color and a pink cast to the belly, with a darker back and long white tipped guard hair (and lots of it), and a big fat tail.

Taken in winter, it has a full prime coat, and is well furred on the belly.

It's a nice wall hanger, but I've got a full body mount (coyote) at the taxidermist's shop now, and I won't need this wall hanger anymore.

Here's a photo of it hanging over my buck skull;

sorry to bust in on this. Is that skinned by cutting from foot to foot and pulling it off? That is how I use to do beaver pelts years ago.

Catwithaboost,

No apologies needed.

Yes, it is "case" skinned.
