Ive never shed hunted before. I was wondering when they open the gates for shed hunting in the Joe Watt canyon. I thought it would be a fun outing for the family. But is it worth it and can i expect a big crowd?

They open them up may 1st. But you better be there early and have fun fighting all the horse back riders. I went up there last year when they opened it. There were a ton of people looking for sheds. I was out of foot and had 3 horses went by me with a saddle full of sheds. It is hard to compete with those guys up there.

Are they still feding the elk at joe watt?I was thinking about stoping in there on my way buy friday or sunday.Thanks
