Catching Pigeons
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:09:45 PM »
I was reading on how to catch pigeons at night by finding a roost barn or building and shining lights in there eyes at night and then kill the light and then they fly into the walls because they cant see.  Grab them after they hit the walls.   Anyone ever try this?

Build a trap for them, really simple and works great. PM me if interested. I've caught 80 in the last month. Works great for training dogs.

at night just use a flashlight and grab them if you can get to a roost. they'll sit and not fly anywhere. never heard of them flying into walls and catching them that way?

I've built a couple if traps and I've put them on top
of a couple warehouse rooftops. I've been using cracked corn as bait. I've probably caught 90 so far this year. The trap is pretty easy to make. You can google it.

What else do people use as bait in their pigeon traps?

wheat works great. cracked corn also. Whole corn is alright, but not ideal.
