HUNTWA SALMON DERBY 2008
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:06:03 PM »
Just throwing this one out there, I think it would be great to have a Huntwa salmon derby in either MA 11 (with the new Pt. Defiance ramps installed this winter), or maybe MA 10, for say $10 a person with 50% going to Ray's fund and the rest to the top three. July to August would be the best time.

 Who's there??

Sweet, that's a start. We need to get SISU and BONE over here for this somehow.

hows about throwing a couple north sound m.a.'s in too.

that might add a couple more fishermen to the roster. i know there's a couple north sound salt fishermen on here.

Sound's great to me, you might have to have a couple different weigh-in stations, maybe one in Tacoma and one in Mukilteo/ Everett? Could include MA 9.

One factor will be whatever season's will be set as of the 31st, would have to include all MA's that were only open to say hatchery retention only at the same time. MA 9-11 should all be open at that time for hatchery fish.

whats with all this south sound crap? there's more to the sound than just the south sound.

I'm too wimpy these days to try buoy 10 , I'd be up for crabbing on the canal though. Anywhere there's more Dungies than Rocks.

There's dungies in Quartermaster Harbor, just dont tell anyone.  Crab and salmon could make for a good combo derby, eh?

I'd be willing to weigh fish at the end of the day in Tacoma, someone would have to volunteer for Everett area.
