HUNTER SHOOTING ANIMALS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU..IF YOU`VE BEEN WATCHING THEM

What would you do if you had a spot that..you scouted and got permission to hunt deer for the
last 3 seasons and this is season 4 im trying to manage the deer in this spot
ok heres my problem
ITS late buck and yes i know people are really trying to kill a buck spikes to 4-5 pointers and some time bigger
you have a spot were you`ve killed 3 good sized bucks
OK i have my ground blinds set up way in advanced..were its located people can view it from a road but you would have to use binos
to see it...ok after today watching this clearing for deer i spot a few does in the clearing along
with a truck watching the deer also no problem until big daddy steps out..ok hes prob 1000 yards from the road
but you can see him im talking the truck..the bucks to me is 300+ but get this im taking my wife whom has never killed
a deer before...plus are kidos..its a test for patience today (they seem to always tall move and say i cant see so they have to move i wouldnt change it for nothing)
I guess its par for the course..anyways were glassing this buck and the truck leaves about 40 min later guess what
the person of that truck sneeks close enough on private property and get ready to shoot this deer were
watching this evening..OK remember my wife is shooting and now the bucks 200+ and the guys closing fast to shoot
i told her to line up the crosshairs fast and little above the back and above the shoulder and let it fly
deer drops we wait a few minutes and start the walk...
back up remember the guy in the truck he well dont know what happend to him but
my question to you all is were we wrong for shooting that buck from under him or is it the other way around..
and have any of you ever had this situation happen to you before please help..we did get the buck..sorry no pics ill post them in the morning

You didn`t say if the other guy had permission to hunt the private land. It`s never happened to m on private  although where I hunt it`s full of pumpkins. I`ve had it happen a couple times where I was watching a buck or bull and he was 300+ and the guy in the truck seen the animal cross the road. He gets out and drops it. Yeah I`m pissed but the animal was closer to him and he had a better shot. I waited to long my fault. These aren`t highways I`m talking roads in the hills. To answer your question no I don`t think you were wrong. From how you put it it was hard to see you. If he saw you maybe he wouldn`t have pursued it. But then again if you hunt on the eastside like I do it wouldn`t matter if he did see ya. Just my 2 cents.

If the othe hunter had permission to hunt the private property then neither of you was in the wrong.

You had every right in shooting that buck, if anything the guy that was moving to private property without permission was in the wrong.  Just my  Congrats on the buck.

I have shot a few deer out from under another hunter, and have had a few shot out from my scope..Hell the last time this happened I helped the dude gut it and drag it out..

can't blame anyone for taking a deer on permission land....if they had permission. I believe it to be of poor taste if you were in sight wearing orange to advance on you in the interest of taking a deer you were stalking, but if you were in a ground blind how would he know?

First one with a bullet in him is the victor in my book......tough shint for the other guy....If he didn't have permission he shouldn;t have been there.

dont see any foul, unless he was tresspassing.  i think if he saw that you and your wife were actively stalking the buck and continued anyway he would have poor ettiquete.  have to remember though no one owns a deer while its on the hoof provided he had permission he had just as much right to that deer as you and your wife did

No one owns an animal, however, there is a bit of respect for another hunter involved.  I think that it may be possible the other individual didn't see your blind.  If he did, he should've left the area, it may not be law, but its the right thing to do.  Personally, if I am hunting and come upon someone else in the area that got there before me, I will back out and look for somewhere else.  I don't enjoy people walking in my tracks and I won't do it to them.

If you spot the deer first and dude tries to shoot it from under you then he is a chicken shhhhht go find your own deer punk this only seems to happen on the west side
