I'm taking my coworker over to Chewelah on the opener, he got me my elk last year. So I told him I would take him and his girlfriend turkey hunting. We will leave the coast after work and drive all night and set up in the morning on the 15th. He really wants his girl to get a bird. I will do my best to make it happen.

Good Luck All!  Planning on hunting the NE the first couple days of the season and also back over on the third weekend.  Sounds like the opener will be a bit sluggish with the cold weather.

Yes , I am taking my son to an area we saw birds last year on the 15 TH . I went there scouting on march 28TH but we didn 't see any turkeys or hear anything . Still pretty sure the birds are around .
