Just bought a new Parker 2120 sport cabin. I am very excited to get this boat outfitted to fish all the Puget Sound and coast has to offer. Is there anything that you just couldn't live without (boat accessories, gear, electronics, tackle, etc) on your boat! Tight Lines

AWSOME boats! Went 50 miles out from la Push in a 25' and a 23' Parker. Very nice boats! Nice score

I got ahold of survival suits for fishing the bigger water for the sound/ocean.
Paddle faster!!,,,,I hear banjo's!!!!

If you're fishing the straights and the coast, get some Radar. Sure a GPS might get you out and back, but GPS doesn't do anything to keep you from colliding with another boat, deadhead, etc.

It gets really foggy in August and September.

Fish!  Also all the safety equipment required by USCG.  If you are going for halibut or out in the ocean you will want good eletronics.  I still want to put a rocket launcher on my boat to get the rods and stuff out of the way and they look cool.  Also if going on long runs, extra fuel storage is nice.  Fish box for the fish and a couple beers to celebrate killing a big fish(not too much, stay safe).  Most important is have FUN on your boat.  Lingcod and halibut are just around the corner.  I'll be up at Neah Bay for the halibut opener.  Anyone else going?

Racor fuel/water seperator with a couple spare filters on board. A little bad gas will ruin your day and it rarely happens near the dock/launch.
VHF radio, a cell phone won't cut it.
Fire extinguisher, bigger is better. Alot of people buy with smallest bottle possible, could be because of limited space or maybe their just cheap, but ask yourself, when the sh!t hits the fan and you need an extinguisher, will you still be happy you saved a few bucks?
Good quality (Furuno, Garmin) electronics, stay away from the Fisher Price crap.

Quick question.....we're you hauling that boat north through Olympia on I-5 on Tuesday this week....think it was Tuesday.  I remember seeing a Parker 2120....nice looking boat.  In fact I slowed down in my lane to get a look at it going by.  Were you in a Mercedes?

Be sure to have separate gps and depth finder displays as trying to watch both on one screen is a pain.

I am sure I will think of more....  Good fishing!

Right on there for sure.  Hate the split screen stuff..  Small screens already for getting older eyes... :bash:

All my pumps (bilge, livewell, recirc) use the same motor insert.  Keep 1 or 2 spares onboard.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Sharp knives that are easily accessible. Even one in the bow to cut the anchor rope if needed. :yike:

Radar, VHF, anchor, tool kit (your option on the contents), spare fuses, spare fuel filter, ditch bag for you safety gear (with spare hand held VHF), this could be a long list.
