No, this is a horrible hunt, you better stick with peaches ridge.

I guess that's like saying there's no elk in the blues. :chuckle:

You are right gasman, all of the elk in the bumping unit migrated to the blues this last winter, too many wolves and cougars up here, so they just headed east.

That's the only one I applied for (archery though).  Got my eye on a couple of bulls in there.

I am really surprised I didn't get many reply's to this.  Looks like one of the more popular hunts.  No one into sharing these days?

You would probably not be disappointed.

Not if you hire a guide in the area. Someone that follows the elk year round know's where th egood bulls are.

(but won't share there locations with me  :bash:)

I think there is at least one of thoseguys on the site here

I have hunted the unit, and would be hard pressed tp  hunt it again with a bull tag in my pocket with out one  ;)

If the bulls are ruttin like they were last year during the general muzzy season in the bumping you should have no problem getting a bull.

That's what I like to hear.  I would be pretty hard pressed to hire a guide in washington.  Especially for what he charges.

There was a guy on here not too long ago that was catching flack for helping guys out with their hunts in that area I believe free of charge.  If I could remember anything to search for the thread by, I'd get the guys handle for you.  Seemed like a real nice guy that just likes to help out and be a part of quality hunts.

My wife or I draw a bull tag in those units hiring a competent guide. Norse know where I can find one?

Easy to see bulls in off season and no pressure. Things change when hunters get into those units. Unless you have a lot of time to pre season scout, and I mean a lot time. Would at least consider a guide.  :twocents: :twocents:

I personally know more than a few guys with bull tags that go unfilled every year in those units during ML and archery. Not a sure thing by any means.
