Is the woods and steele road marked at the bottom.  I heard one can get into the area through that route.  Do you take the road out of south cle elum and parallel the power lines going west?  I was going to go explore that west end of tanuem in case I decide to hunt that side for my late bull tag.  Any suggestions?

if the rds were open before they washed out and if theres no closed signs then go and keep going until they do post it.

I'd be careful, I was up there friday night and someone has torn the signs down on the Murray Road....ignorance is not a defense.

Looks good, like to see animals in there. Bringing couple of kids with me this weekend, so hopefully get to see some for the kids for sure. Wanna get into and around as much of area as possible. Itchin for the season already, lack of summer and fall like weather will do that......

I'm going to head over tomorrow afternoon to hang a few stands for September.   I'm taking my car to save on gas money.  I will try to take some pictures if I get down by the washout.

They should do a timber sale and let the loggers help fix the roads?? Does that ever happen?

As of yesterday, July 7th, according to the Cle Elum Ranger Station, they've closed off the entire area from the SE side of Taneum Rd all the way over to Manastash Rd to ALL MOTORIZED VEHICLES.  This includes Joe Watt Canyon and Robinson Canyon.  No plans to make repairs to any of the roads until next Summer!  Anyone have better info than this, i.e., can you get to Manastash Campgrounds another way?

I drove up in ther on saturday up joe watt, no blockages. There is a road block at tamarack springs and down around bottom at the lt murray. Also up toward quartz I hear is blocked off too. Don't know about robinson but joe watt was accessable. Just most of all the top toward 3300 road closed off down to taneum rd.

I turned in an illegal fire several years ago that some yahoo had going in the LT and I remember talking to the deputy after he "educated" the offender.  He told me the judges in the county insisted on a mandatory appearance in court for illegal fires, I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same things with those that choose to go around the barricades.
