my dog goes and retrives everything just fine but when it comes back it will just run around me with the dummie and wont fully come to me any ideas on how to break this.

Start off retrieving with a check chord, once he has that down every time then put a dummy shock collar on him and keep workinig with the check cord, every time.  After a few days put a real shock collar on him and start off with the lowest setting and work your way up until you get a good response every time.  Then be consistent.

As he is coming back to you start backpeddling away from him and get really animated pretty much run from him and he should come to you.

You need to enforce the 'come' command.  Come means come, every time no matter what.  Come means come to me, not part way.  Come means come NOW.  NEVER let you dog blow this command off.  NEVER.

Fix the come command and you fix the retrieve.  Go back to basics and get the come command straightened out until your dog is obeying this command every time under every circumstance.

consider finding someone who knows a little about training a pup and ask them for some help or, buy some books, read them, ask for help. Don't ever strap an e-collar on a dog and use it without understanding how they work and first collar conditioning your dog. If you don't know what collar conditioning means or don't fully understand what it means, using an e-collar is the fastest way you can ruin your dog for life.

Almost any book on training a gun dog explains the basics such as here, sit, stay etc. Sounds like just some basic obedience is where you need to start. Collar work is for advanced training and use by people who spend time learning to understand how to use it. use it wrong and you will RUIN your dog. fast.

shes 9 months old and does everythign else good and she used to come right back but now she just runs around me.

You need to be trained in a technique that allows your dog to KNOW to obey. I love these threads because it reminds me of my grandfather around 1973, training his bird dog to not chase rabbits.

Google search for Dan Hosford. I have bought some of his videos, they were very helpful in helping me train my first dog which is the one I have now. As far as the "come" command, never say it unless you can enforce it. Every time you say it and she doesn't come will just make it harder for you in the long run. Training sessions should always be on a check cord. It is a way of letting her know that you always have control. Praise is your best friend, always praise her when she comes back. But no treats for retrieving, she is a retriever and retrieving is their reward. Keep session to 10 minutes at a time and at least one every day. Try to do them at the same times if possible. You will know a good session when she gives you 100% effort with at least 80% efficiency.

If your pup won't obey the come command consistently you need to put a check cord back on her and work on the come command.  It's that simple.  Repetition and time is the answer, there's no shortcut unless you are OK with harsher forms of training.  I do not subscribe to or recommend harsh training methods, and IMO she's way too young to use a e-collar.  Just spend time with her in the field working on the come command.  Take full advantage of natural training opportunities, for example..when I"m working with a young dog... anytime it runs towards me I give the come command.  The dog is already running towards me so it almost always just comes right to me nice and easy.  The dog learns to associate running towards me with the come command.  It's an easy thing to do.  Have lots of patience, be smart about giving the command meaning don't give the command when you know her attention is on something and she might not obey, gently use a check cord to reinforce your commands if she won't obey, give lots and lots of praise when she does obey, or use treats as reward if praise isn't getting it done (with some dogs praise isn't enough) keep training sessions short enough that your pup doesn't get stressed or bored, keep it upbeat and fun.  Your pups best times in her world should be when she's with you.  At less than a year old she's just a pup and it's just gonna take some time.  I'd suspect you might be trying to go too fast with the training...which is hard not to do.  The dog dictates how fast the training progresses though.

And above everything else, NEVER discipline her when she comes to you when you call her.  Not to suggest you're doing this.  But it's common that I see guys trying to call their dogs in and they won't come, these guys get furious and when they finally get their hands on their dog they treat it harshly, wail the crap out of it or scream at it and I tell myself no wonder the damn dog won't come.  I wouldn't either.  There's a time and place for reasonable discipline once a dog knows it's job, but not ever when they do something right like coming when called.
