Wolf Map
« on: October 13, 2011, 05:48:23 PM »
As I keep watching and reading the stories of all the Wolf Sightings in Washington I've kind of gotten lost in all the details. So I thought it might be kind of cool for us to have a map on this page to add some kind of marker in the general areas where people have seen wolves or tracks. It might give us all a better idea where the sightings are happening and maybe give others of us an indication of where to keep our eyes peeled during the next few weeks.

I'll be traveling out to the Blues next week and after reading all your stories, I'm curious if I'll catch a glimpse of anything.

Attached is a map of WA/ID - if someone has a way of adding markers where they located wolves, it would be cool if you could add that info here.

If a Moderator or someone else has a better idea, that's fine. I'm just looking for a visual reminder of where to keep watch.

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

Oh.  I looked at the map before I read that there weren't any markers.

If you open that in Power Point, you'll be able to add dots, shapes, titles and other things.  Even a basic program like Paint will work.

Google earth!  If you can get folks to provide the locations, exact coordintes is best, I'll plug them in. You got me curious now as well.  I could upload an image once a week for all to see.

Doesn't google have some sort of interactive map that people can enter locations on?  Seems like I have seen it used on a hiking forum.
