Mule Deer Foundation Committee members needed!
« on: January 08, 2012, 05:58:56 AM »
I am the Olympia Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation Chapter Chair. We have our banquet scheduled for May 12th at the Red Lion in Olympia it is our first banquet as we are a brand new chapter. We have a great core group of committee members but we need more help to make our first banquet great not just good. We are having a committee meeting next Sunday the 15th at 9 AM place to be determined. This is a great organization that is helping both mule deer and blacktail deer and we get to spend a significant portion of the money we raise on what we as committee members decide to as a group locally. Please contact me if you are interested in becoming a committee member or would like to help another way such as donating items to the banquet for fundraising. All donations are tax deductable. I can be contacted by email @ rex@hornsandhooks.com all of us as hunters must do our part for conserving the animals that we love to chase.

Thanks,

Rex Peterson

There are many dedicated mule deer hunters on Hunt-WA. I am going to attach a very good article by Dr Charles Kay that you may want to share with your membership.

Who all is going to the banquet on May 12th?  I will be there, but I am just wondering who else I might be able to meet.

I think Dr Kay probably wrote it for Muley Madness.

Anybody else going to this?  I think there are still plenty of spots available.  Its the only local foundation that I know of that actually supports blacktail conservation.  If you are going, let me know because I would like to meet other forum members.
