Chum Kandy
« on: February 03, 2012, 10:44:54 AM »
Well, not really......Kind of a hybrid of my own doing.   Its my heavy water fly.   Works for just about any salmon or steelhead.   I tied it mostly for Canada Chum fishing....heavy water.     Works as deaddrifting  as well as swinging on heavy sink.

With that big lead eye, that's a chuck-n-duck.
Nothing witty here.... move along.

Yeah, I've been thumped a couple times.   Dug out of my shoulder more than once.    :chuckle:   Thankfully I de-barb, so it comes out better.

He did what mine lacks.....or vice versa actually.  Mine was too bulky and something I struggle with, but its a fun hobby.

LMAO have not heard that since Alaska. I got hit in the back of the head from about a 15 yr old kid that was trying to throw a 3/4 oz sinker on an 11wt rod. Was not a nice day.

Nice flies, gents.  Here's my old standby pattern.  Caught more fish on it than anything else.  If they don't bite it, well I guess they just aint very hungry.

Yeah, that orange caddis imitation works well both west and eastside.  I am a sucker for a nice lookin' Dee or Spey fly.  Good job guys.
