Tikka T3 SS lite in 7mm topped with a Leupy.  Lightest combo I could find.

Hard to beat a tikka in the back country. I got a rocking deal on a a7 by sako and it is the perfect back country gun. Mine is 270wsm.

Depends. In the nasty stuff where a shot past 150 yards isn't going to happen, my win 94 30-30 with a peep sight. I plan on having a 7mm rem mag for longer areas, most likely in tikka variety.

I have the same set-up, much lighter than either of my 300 wbys.

I will carry my T/C Encore with the .280Rem barrel on it. I have a nice Burris 3.5-10 scope on it now. It's kind of big but it works. The rifle is tiny with that 24" .280 barrel on it. I think we're right about 7 pounds 2 oz. which is nice. Better than 9.5# all up with the 28" .300 winmag barrel and my leupy.

TC Venture in 308 with Nikon 3X9X40...Think it's just at or over 7.  Humped it around for 35 miles this past season and didn't bother me, however, will buy a more comfortable sling.
