The Pentax Pioneer is the same scope as the Burris Fullfield. The Pentax Gameseeker is their bottom end scope....but I put one on a 7mm mag about 5 years ago and it held up just fine. I think for the dollar these are the best low end scope you can get. I run mostly Leupolds now but wouldn't hesitate to use one of these again.

I have a Pentax LightSeeker that's 20 years old that has never let me down at it's on a .300 Weatherby. I can say, just like the comment before, great scope in the low-mid range. They use their own optics and Burris tubes. I have a fixed 4x and a 1.5x4 handgun scope on a .460 S&W mag. No problems.

Pentax lightseeker was THE most under rated scope made ten years ago.

I think they are $60 on Amazon. I've thought about it as well.
