I guess I am not the only one who thinks that the only governor's tag is the one for mule deer!   :chuckle:

BTW Phool, you still owe me $100 from last year.... :chuckle:

Klumper has a date with the double D  :chuckle:

Double D might be safe this year. If he's not, competition will be stiff.

Kevin has the East Side Elk Auction Tag again this year, there are a couple bulls he is hoping to run across.

You make a great point and i apologize. I should have explained. If I spent a bunch of money on a bull tag I would be hunting the easier to hike country. Like the dayton unit. Yes there's some steep stuff but its an easier hike and hunt than let's say the watershed. Lots of places in the blues hold great bulls. But if you had the tag and could hunt any of those units (I think the watershed is closed to the govenor tag until the regular season but I apologize if im wrong) would you be hunting big bulls in the steep country or easier to hike stuff? If I had the money i know where id be.

Nothing personal but if I had a gov tag or raffle tag as good as the bulls might be in the watershed there are other units that hold recorded bigger bulls.. And double d is a drop tine bull that is huge that if it is a smart bull will stay right where he is.. I believe he is smart..LOL

Yep, ole Double D escaped last year because he broke one of his mains in half.

Maverick, no worries. I have heard stories of some of the previous auction tag hunts and can see where you could draw that conclusion. I can assure you Kevin put his field time in and hiked his ass off last year, he was out before light and back after dark every day, and was not road hunting. ;)
