Riffe Lake Crawdads?
« on: June 30, 2012, 09:53:38 AM »
Just acquired our first family fishing boat (14' livingston)!  Headed to Riffe Lake for a week in August.  Kids are really excited about setting a crawdad trap.  We will be at Mossyrock Campground.  Any suggestions for trap locations?  We will probably stay at that end with the dam and troll around with wedding rings, hope it works!
Thanks

Let us know how it goes with the crawdads. My boys and i have 2 traps were taking down the first week in august.  We go down there twice a year. love that campground. The best part of camping down there is if you get a sunny saturday, head to the boat ramp about 6 o'clock with a cocktail and set up on the bank watching the people try to load there boats after they are loaded.

We were down there quite a few years ago, and this guy in a small aluminum boat was using a lawnchair to sit in while he still fished. Well he also musta been loaded, as he fell overboard and drowned. Well, his relatives fishing with him were more concerned about when they could get the boat back because the fishing was so good. This was per the Sheriff taking the report......Now the dueling banjos form deliverance start a playin.....
