Scott, there is alot of private land for that tag. I have seen Moose from the hangman valley golfcourse to Spangle over the past years. I will ask around at work. I know a guy that lives out on teh Palouse and always has a moose/deer story when he comes into work. He is always seeing them.

if he pulled a bull tag, go get a IEP tresspass permit and hunt the paper land, there are bigger bulls in that unit then anywhere else in wa. I have seen 8 bulls in one drainage that all went over 42" and a couple were knocing on 50's door with lots of points. pm for details.

Try Mica Peak.  Call the biologist for the area and he'll tell you the same.

Does this include the area slightly west and south of Cheney?  I was within 30 yards of a +40" this morning.  I can be bribed for a couple of roast and a few steaks if you're interested.  Email me if you can hunt this area.

He still was in almost full velvet.  I didn't see anything hanging.  Almost jet black in color.  Surprised the heck out of me.  I have no idea where he was when I walked in, but he was there on my way out.  I guess I need to rethink my coyote calling technique.

They can be curious little fellers, and its amazing how quiet they can be when they want too.
