Utah bulls!

well me and the girlfreind went down to Arizona for a little road trip and see some family on the way home after the grand canyon we went through Utah we seen one buck and then all these bulls pinned up in a field. seen a couple wild buros also

Those bulls are reserved for guys with to much money and very little hunting skills that need a good profile picture.  High fence hunt!

i was wondering about that ive never seen anything like it before i didnt know if they raised them and let em go or if they has some yahoo from new york pay big bucks to hunt them lol

I have seen some elk farms like this in Minnesota and I suppose they are all over. Many of them are raising them for their Antler sheds due to how valuable they have become. But I agree....those that get slected (not hunted)and shot is just stupid.

I know a guy who dropped 10K for a 380" bull at a ranch in Utah. The ranches order bulls from places like that. When you book your hunt, you tell them what size bull you're looking for and they charge accordingly. Then they order the bulls from the farmer that is the size you want. They deliver shortly before your hunt, then you go find him and your guide tells you which 1 is yours. The guy shot the bull the guide said was his, and it was 10" larger than the guy wanted so the ranch owner wanted him to pay more money.
Needless to say, after 10K, the guy didn't want to pay any more. He still needed to pay for a taxidermist

damn someone paid 10 grand for a bull? damn i have a couple bulls that come around my place that are approaching 380 to 400. 2 came by last year that were 400 plus, i know this cause i guy i know killed one a couple years back by mt place that green scored 419 but dry scored 396 and the 2 that come by once in awhile are bigger, maybe i should charge 10 grand to let someone shoot one, i know i could use the coin..... back to the topic though, those are some neat pics, i still cant beleive someone could feel good about shootn one of those studs...... guess the hunt could go anyway you could imagine though, all it takes is a good *censored*ter

Or, turned loose about 3 days before the hunter shows up.... like the "Spider Bull"   When you talk to residents in that particular area of Utah, that hunt.  They know where that paticular bull came from....  and it was from behind the fences of a particular elk ranch.  He was transported in an open stock trailer, and released just a week or so before the hunter came along...

it is nice to see that the majority of the hunters/outdoorsman feel the same way about pen raised animals, what a piss poor way to hunt, if there was ever gonna be a ban on huntn it should be banning those types of places from raising awsome critters like that just so some joe smuck scud bottom vagrant rich ass hunter can come along and shoot the crap outta it, ban that and leave the rest of us that do it right alone

  My cousin raises them on his ranch in CO, makes more butchering them and sending them to restaurants and markets than he could selling to a hunting ranch.  He also sells the sheds, I believe they go somewhere in Asia.

My bad... you're right. I know a guy that heard about a fella that shot a 450" from this place out of a helicopter with an unlicensed guide from California

I actually met a person who paid to kill a monster bull.  He has tooooooo much money.  So he has a Colorado cabin (3K sq. foot house) and wanted an elk mount for his rustic cabin.  He flew in, was picked up at the airport, drove out looked over some bulls, shot it, was driven back to the airport and flew out.

The mount came to his house later and he hired a person to come install it above his fire place. 

He does NOT hunt like we do. 
He does not respect the sport.  It was just a goal to accomplish to put the mount in his cabin.
He only did it to get the trophy to put in his house take some pictures and that was it. 

This world take different folks to turn on it's axis.  So there is a need for such a business.  It is not for me but for some folks it is the ticket. And he was happy.
