Idaho Wt ?
« on: August 13, 2008, 09:04:51 PM »
Looking for somewhere to hunt Wt deer near lewiston.   I put in for permits but no luck.  Still have the second drawing but not good odds.  Since I have already bought my license I figured I should buy a tag.  My delima is I drew a Blue Mt foothills tag.  So I would like to put my efforts toward that tag.  But if I get lucky and tag out early and I am already over there I though I would head over to Idaho.  Dont have a huge amount of time to make it work but I am going to give it a shot.   Any Ideas would be great.  Thanks

I'll send you a PM with my phone number.  I grew up in that area, so I should be able to get you on one.

Don't think so.  If they hunt or fish, though, I've probably ran into them somewhere along the way.  I try to make a point to say hi to everyone I meet out in the great outdoors, but I'm like a fish in a bowl when it comes to names; I swim around in a circle, "Hey, there's a new rock, hey there's a new rock, hey there's a new rock....."

If it were me......I would spend my time on that Blue Mtn Foothills tag you drew.  By the way, was it Foothills A or B?  Both are great hunts.  I drew A again this year with my son and a friend.....my favorite hunt...going for the entire season Nov. 3rd through the 19th.  I've passed on some really big bruisers over the years, one or two I should have shot, but wanted to spend more time in woods.
