I believe my budy said they were $70.  Never used one, but sounds like a good deal.

Not a bad deal. Regular price at Wal Mart is $80. I think I'd buy the 3mp Tasco for $50 though before I'd buy that one for $70.

I would rather pay extra $20. I like the double A batteries.

Yeah they both have their pluses and minuses. I like the color night pictures I get from the white flash. And very little motion blur like you get with IR cameras. My Tascos last 6 to 8 weeks with the 4 D batteries, so that's about $5 for 2 months of use. I'd be willing to try the Tasco IR cam but not for $70, maybe $50 if it ever goes on sale for that.

I personally wouldnt buy them I have 3 of the 5mp cams and I am not impressed with them at all..they still work but they dont always take pics when somehting is in front of them. They get even worse as the temps drop..the sensors have a hard time switching to IR when it gets late

I have 1 5mp tasco and the night photos are terrible  :bash:

I have a handful of these. The oldest ones are three years and still going. The most common issue I have is the IR filter sticking and causing the daylight photos to have a red tint. I have only had a few quit on me or become very unreliable. All in all I haven't had any worse luck with them than most any other camera. I have owned Moultrie, Primos, Wildgame Innovations, Cuddeback, Tasco, Reconyx, Digitaleye, Wildview, and Bushnell.... Out of all of those I can't really pick one that worked far superior to any other (considering cost).  I currently seem to be purchasing more of the Wildgame Innovations and Moultrie's than any other cam.
