Something we should all keep in mind is that campaigns cost money, and take time and effort; that's a fact.  The elections in November can be pivotal to protect our hunting, firearms, and private property rights.  We absolutely must give support to our preferred candidates, or we risk losing more of our cherished rights and freedoms.

Give financially, even if it’s just $5 or $10.  Give your time by placing candidate signs in strategic locations.  Take advantage of every opportunity you have to encourage all people to VOTE, and of course encourage them to VOTE FOR the people who will protect our rights and freedoms.  GET INVOLVED!

The National Presidential election is an easy choice:
Mitt Romney (R)
http://www.mittromney.com/

The State Governor election is an easy choice:
Rob Mckenna (R)
http://www.robmckenna.org/

Research your local candidates to make sure you VOTE FOR those that will protect your rights and freedoms.

For example:

District 35 Representative:
Dan Griffey (R)
http://www.griffey4statehouse.com/

District 44 Representative:
Mark Harmsworth (R)
http://markharmsworth.com/

Thurston County Commission District 1:
Karen Rogers (D)
http://citizensforkarenrogers.org/

Thurston County Commission District 2:
Andrew Barkis (R)

The NRA now has their Grades and Endorsements available.  You can enter your address, state, and zip code information to filter the information for your local area, or you can click on the State of Washington on the map to see all of the candidates.

http://www.nrapvf.org/grades-endorsements.aspx

Comment on the State House Race for District 35-1:

Kathy Haigh (D) is the incumbent and has the NRA endorsement because she has a voting record they can refer to.  However, Kathy indicated at a public candidate forum that she believes we should have socialized health care.  Each voter needs to decide if they are comfortable with that.

Dan Griffey (R) has clearly indicated he will aggressively protect our rights and freedoms; he also received a high rating from the NRA.  Perhaps it's time to bring political balance back into this state.

Please VOTE and urge all of your family, friends, and colleagues to VOTE as well.

I'm not surprised the Jaime Hererra Beutler got an A! right on.

I agree with a lot of others on this thread...... There's REALLY no one to vote for. Romney is un-electable, he doesn't stand a chance. And Obama had a 4 year chance and things aren't much better.   I want two other choices.
The first bird may get the worm, but it's the second rat that gets the cheese.

Thats the attitude that will get Obama re-elected.  Romney might not be perfect but he is the ONLY chance to get Obama out.

Just because I like to stir the pot.... But can anyone tell me any one right that you dont have today that you did have four years ago???  All of the NRA talk seems like the same talk four years ago to make everyone go out and buy guns because Obama was going to take all of our gun rights away.  Apparently that didnt happen...  I hate politics but enjoy reading and watching everyone do the "chicken little, oh the sky is falling."  No matter who the president is for the next four years, nothing significantly will change.  Sad but true.

Heres my opinion for what its worth. The liberal camp didn't do anything too drastic directly against gun ownership this term, but its like a chess game. If they play it right, its set up for a checkmate against the 2nd amendment.
It all comes down to "baby steps". We are only a couple of left wing, liberal supreme court justices from loosing it all. Supreme court justices are appointed by, who? The president............. We have 2 conservative justices who are getting pretty damn old.
 See where this is going?
Hillary thru the US back into the UN small arms treaty recently. That basically disarms the citizens of UN countries.
Why would she tell the UN we are in, unless there is a plan in motion?
Ya know whats really funny?  A lot of the people who called the pro-gun group a bunch of looney conspiracy theorists (ie. hunters and casual gun owners) 15 years ago, are now saying "I think they are after my guns".

And this ladies and gentlemen, is one key point that 99% of the country ALWAYS overlooks. There is a whole lot more at stake in this election than Romney and Obama, and if you are seriously bringing up Ron Paul's name then...........never mind, you clearly have no clue.

If Obama is re elected he will replace two of the justices with liberals, throwing the balance way to the left for what will likely be several presidential elections. So what you say? Well you can bet your ass the Obama admin. will then do what they can to start removing your constitutional rights one by one. :twocents:

I just finished reading Mark Levins' latest book. A lot of it is way, way, way over my head at times, but I understand the premise. Let me try to elucidate.

This country was founded on a set of principles never before tried in thousands of years of history. Man's personal freedom, given by God. "The Grand Experiment" we were called. Our Government was then structured in such a way as to attempt to protect that personal freedom from our own governors. It is the exact opposite of all proposed Utopias going all the way back to Plato. No Utopian model has ever worked. Every last one of them limits YOUR personal freedoms and hands control to a central authority. Dictatorship. Tyranny follows.

Truman was the first elected President to really turn this Grand Experiment on its ear. He believed in the Utopian model. Roosevelt followed his lead.

.....and here we are. Soft tyranny. Millions and millions of minuscule laws designed to protect and control the minutia of every day life. YOUR EVERY DAY LIFE!

Philosophers and scholars who wrote, eons before This Grand Experiment, whose theorems and principals were used in our founding, seemed to agree on a couiple of things:

1) A country that could implement such a grand theorem would be the greatest country ever. Check.
2) This system probably cannot be sustained. Citizens will get soft and stupid. This Ideal will be attacked at every turn. History will be bent. Utopians are relentless. Statists. Tyrants. Check?
Do I believe we can stop this slide? Probably not.
Will I give up? Quit then? Nope.
