Has Camofire lost its Edge?
« on: July 27, 2012, 09:27:18 AM »
I've noticed over the last month or so that Camofire seems to have very little other than ear plugs, SOG knives, cheap treestands, and headlamps. Am I missing something here or have they slipped a bit?

Yes, not much useful stuff lately.  I've been waiting for a bipod to pop up in there.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

I never really saw why people got all excited over that place to begin with.   Half the time you can find the stuff at the same price someplace else...

:yeah:   I try to look at it often because of all the talk about the great deals, but so far I haven't bought a thing from that site.

I agree, I've been getting emails on it for a long time. When I see something I might like I check around the web and most always find it same price or cheaper. Just haven't deleted them from my email list yet. Never bought anything through them either.

I've gotten some great deals off there.  Wrapped Easton Axis infused arrows with 2" blazers for $68 a dozen, and Kenetrek Mtn Extremes for like $238.  Beman ICS Camo hunter arrows with the vi-brakes and 2" blazers for under $70 a dozen. :dunno:

I've bought probably $600-700 there in the last year. There have been some great deals. I just haven't seen much lately.

Just got the apxg2 l3 jacket for 50 and the tundra top for 30 2 weeks ago. Then I saw they had merino wool socks for 5.99 and doubled up on them the other day. I am getting reallllly irritated with all of the retarded SOG knive texts I get every single day though.

being that i've been able to set aside a little money to buy some decent hunting clothes this year, i've been watching it like a hawk for the last month or so.  always seemed like there was good stuff when i'd get on and check randomly during the past year, but every time i look lately it's usually some china made knife or browning t-shirt.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

cheapandsteep.com is another one I check out. They have some nice camping/backpacing stuff on there sometimes. I have not bought anything from either one yet but I always look.
