How do you carry your rangefinder?
« on: July 29, 2012, 08:19:23 AM »
So I finally got a good deal (and legitimate) on CL, and bought a rangefinder.  Having never carried one before, I am curious as to the best way to carry (making it easy to use) it while bow hunting.  I'll be doing both the treestand thing, and some spot and stalk as well.  I've seen a ton of ways the folks on TV handle their rangefinders, and was just looking for a real persons  :twocents:.  Thanks!

I put mine on a tether around my neck and slid it into my left shirt pocket. It is easy grab there.

I am getting ready to go this route.  What kind do you have muledeercrazy?  How far out can you realistically range in the field?  I need to go out 1,000 yards.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

+1.

When its time to be a sneaky *censored* and crawl around like a snake, I put it in my shirt, against my back. Still I keep the lanyard around my neck.

Having a personal articles insurance policy on my binos, spotting scope, and rangefinder sure does give me peace of mind when hitting the field.
