There are a couple of high impact plastic ones that are available.... I like the one that the middle section moves up, so you can break an AR in half and clean it.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

The only difference between a butt kisser and a brown noser is depth perception.

Lets see.....gun cleaning advise on a vise....

Really, I like the standard Plano brand shooters box. It has two trays with the snap on sides that cradle your firearm. I use it with my rifles as well as my AR. Cheap and easy with built in storage that is good to go in the garage or at the range.

Look thru this thread and there is a picture of one that was home built.  Might give you some ideas.

I want to use it on rifles, shotguns, etc. But also, I hunt a lot with an Encore pistol. I would like the vice adjustable to accomidate ALL weapons, if possible. Kind of why I was thinking of building one. But, if ther IS a "universal" cleaning vice available....I can work with that too. Keep the suggestions comin. Thanks again
