The Nisqually opened July 1st, but its just now starting to draw crowds. I fished the Nisqually a few times in July without a single fish. I hit the Puyallup opening day. Hooked three and landed one. The fish I landed was hooked within the first 5 minuets of me being on the river and I turned it back...should have kept it. It was about 10 lbs and I would say just over 24" and slightly bronze. I was testing an egg cure I "created" this past winter. I was dragging the eggs (no float) with a fish pill.
