here he is. i know it looks like hes just baking in the back of a black truck but we brought him back in  a big white bag with two bags of ice in his chest so he stayed plenty cool.

it was up the canal  a ways from shelton. we saw 40 some elk 4 grouse 8 deer a covey of quail 1 owl and a bear before ten o' clock. it was a really good day. we hiked around a couple different cuts in the early morning. then at about 9:30  we found a super fresh pile of crap on a spur rd. while we were looking at the crap a big stick snapped in the timber. at first i was thinking it was elk until we heard a rotten tree get pushed over. we then got downwind of it and tried some predator calling for a while but it never showed. we tried to sneak in to the timber but it was to dry and loud so we backed out so we didn't scare it outta there. we went back to the truck and drove up the rd further and that's when i spotted him about 150 yards down in a cut. right when he took a step i shot him through the front shoulder with my 7mm stw with 168 gr Berger bullet and he went straight down. i have video of the recovery but i don't have any idea how to get it from the camera to here but if i figure it out ill put it on here.
