Rain mentioned in the forecast for tomorrow, Thursday and next Tuesday.  Hopefully the system early next week drops some decent rain.

Saw that too. Looks like Tues-Thursday of next week could rain any day especially Thursday.

I didn't call last year when I went around Montesano and got locked behind a gate.  I was PISSED
Was it a green dot road?

I don't remember.  Gate was open for me to drive in when I got there at 3:30am.  When I went to leave at 8pm, gate was closed.  No cell service to call them for help.  PISSED!!!  I managed to get out but I was pissed.  My fault for not calling ahead of time I guess

Lots of times gates are open because they are hauling out of an area. Still closed to vehicle traffic normally though.

Spent a lot of time up in the St. Helens tree farm over the past three weekends. More green than I expected with the hot weather we had. Hopefully a little rain ( or a lot) next week will get us into and though season. Don't need a repeat of last year.

I washed my car yesterday so the Spokane area people can thank me for the bit of rain this morning.

I was amazed at how wet and green it is up there.

Well the forecast is calling for cooler temps for the archery opener but not much to zero rain in the forecast.  I don't expect the west side timber companies to open their land anytime soon.  Bummer.

Pass level temps will be near the freezing mark during the overnight hours on some of the passes early next week.

Yeah that really sucks! One of the longest stretches on record with no recordable rainfall. Looks like the Gifford Pinchot is going to be open so lots of state land E of I-5 available to hunt. I'm changing my plans and heading up to some state land in the Winston or maybe even the Siouxon
