I want to help someone with Disabled Mudflow bull tag
« on: August 14, 2012, 09:44:11 PM »
I have hunted this area the last few years helping friends. Last year my friend's wife who is in a wheelchair was able to shoot her first bull. Guiding her on that hunt was an amazingly rewarding experience. I am a guide at Roosevelt Elk Outfitters and I'd love to help someone else get a bull on their Disabled Hunter Mudflow tag. If you know someone who drew this tag then I'd love to hear from them. Just to clarify, I'm looking to do this on my own time and get a chance to help someone realize a dream. Thanks

Outstanding offer!!  Good luck headed your way!

Our disabled permit hunt from 2011 was actually published in the last issue of Horns and Hooks magazine in an article titled "Rollin for Roosevelts". It's a good read. Fun to see that a great program like the disabled hunt permit program produces some fantastic experiences.

I'd really want to make that happen again for someone else with the same dream

so do I!! please help me spread the word. I just feel we need to share our love for elk hunting and I'm certain anyone who is able to experience what those of us who get it experience every year, we'll always be able to pass on this precious heritage. I've seen people's lives changed (mine included) on an elk hunt. Why not help another feel that same fire burn within?

As a disabled hunter I would like to say thank you for being you. I have my own trip planned and have caught some grief for using a crossbow but can no longer hold back my compound. I wish you the best of luck in helping someone either catch that fire or keep it alive in someone that needs a little help. God bless you and good hunting.

Should be a fun hunt I live just down the road about ten miles, there are a few decent 240 260 bulls running around down there. And I think they gave u guys a little more area on the other side but I'm not sure I don't keep track of the boundryd in that unit cause I don't put in for it but if u guys have any questions just ask.. I've got quite a few sheds out of there this year and I couple nice six points nothing huge but a shooter to say the least

Not sure you'll have much luck just randomly putting a post on here, but you could get a list of the few people that drew those tags from WDFW and give them each a ring and make the offer if you really want to hook-up with one.  I would think one of them would be interested at least?

Do to Washington privacy laws I am not sure he can pull those names.  Still worth a try.

I know other states which I have been drawn release my name to guides.  E.g.  Arizona and New Mexico

Thoughts?

I know Game Wardens have a list of every permitt holders Name on a list as there driving around in the unit of the special hunt while its going on, it makes it easy for them to verify the permit holder when they stop them..
