Bow45, Yup the berries a were ripe at about 4000 feet. This year looks like a great year to pick some berries. I am going to be up with the family next weekend and hope to get a bunch for a pies, muffins and pancakes.

yeah I went out one day and seemed to be sheets loads of huckleberries this year ....I love that 1st 10 days in September .... I am on a bear mission for a couple days then I am off elk hunting ...got to get some sheet on the ground before my relatives show up from Pa ...they just want to catch salmon
