RIVERS WEST outlaw pants

Anybody have these? or have you in the past? and what are your thoughts, about to purchase but thought I'd give someone one chance to scare me away from them. ALSO! are they baggy? nothing i hate more than big ol baggy rain pants that feel like they should be made for 400lb women.  THANKS!

I have RW coat and am happy with it.  Heavy when soaked. Stuff is warm too.

Not sure how much they have changed. I love my waterfowl coat I bought years ago definitely holds up to lots rain and snow. Hated my newer stuff I bought 3 season ago for archery hunting. Felt like a wrestler cutting weight. Too warm and doesn't allow you to breath, even with the heat dump zippers open. If you drive to where you hunt and get out and walk into the woods about 50 feet and climb in a tree stand and sit all day, this might be the gear for you. For me it would be a good steelhead fishing coat while in the sled but sold it all on craigslist a few weeks back and then bought new stove for the outfitters tent. I do like the cabalas dry plus without the wind sheer. If I was going to spend that kinda money again, which I will I going to buy either sitka/kuiu or go old school and return to wool.

Im not a fan of rivers west at all. They do not breath whatsoever. I had a full set and could not stand hunting in it.

Yes my coat doesnt breath well either.  It is great when still or tree hunting.  I wear when its real wet and cold or if using tree stand.  If im mobile its too hot unless its cold out. I think its a good coat just not for warm weather or hiking.

Anyone know of the outlaw pants in particular, because they say it's a lot lighter than the other stuff and it has to 8 inch zipper vents on the inner/upper thigh.

Breathes as well as my Grundens pullover, but three times the weight, and the pile soaks up all the water and instead of storing all the water until I get in my vehicle, the Grundens sheds the water right away. LOL

Exactly. I say it all the time, I'd rather wear my grundens. The rivers west does exactly that it soaks up the water, both inside and out. I also had a horrible experience talking to them directly about the issue, all they would tell me is they realize the fabric doesnt breathe but they feel the vents are sufficient. Well it's not! I returned mine to cabelas because rivers west wouldn't take them back.
