Picked up my new AR
« on: September 02, 2012, 06:46:46 PM »
Got thru the govt checks, etc. looked around, no Magpul mags, no scope mounts. Went to sportsmen wholesale, no mounts, no Magpul.
Went to a store near my house(pm for name) took Leupold 3.5X10X40. got Burris mount, guy mounts it and Laser sights it, I am looking, saying huhhhh???? and no Magpuls. but he is the expert. Go to my buds gravel pit, shoot, getting close but adjustment runs out???//hMMM. I look decide base is mounted backwards, take it apart with make shift tools, turn around, remount, shoot, hmmmmm close but no cigar. I realyze I mounted scope sideways, duh!!! fix, 12 screws later with starz allen head.
I am out of targets, shoot can, cool!! purty close, find target, put up couple adjusments, last 10 rounds in about 1 1/2 inch. TIRED!!!!!!!  go home. Will shoot tomorrow. geeeeeeeZ
looks like a nice gun tho, have high hopes!

What manufacturer and caliber??
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I can imagine.

I have had those kind of days with weapons and scopes in the past..

Keep at it, it will tighten down on the groups.  Then get to reloading and watch the groups really shrink.

What twist is that barrel?

Head on down to Surplus Ammo and Arms in So. Tacoma, they should have an ample supply of P-Mags.
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.
That's how I roll...
