Multi season is a joke!
« on: September 05, 2012, 05:42:17 PM »
I went out this weekend to guide some friends.  It is apparent to me that there are way to many hunters in the woods.  Multi season is going to ruin archery and muzzle loader seasons.  I hunt muzzle loader to avoid people.  Last year was noticeable and this year was just down right disgusting how many people are out there.  So my question is.  what is the point of the different weapons and seasons if they are going to allow that many more people in the woods?    It really kind of pisses me off.  I know it's all about the all mighty dollar, but what a joke.  Wdfw is   :crap:
Happiness is being in the woods!!!

Totally agree. I was stoked to get drawn for deer and elk, multi.  I would gladly give elk back, didn't buy deer, to have a more peaceful woods.  Its crazy how many people are in the woods right now.  Some spots are as bad as rifle season.

Looking for clarificaton here.  If a person purchases a multi season permit, that person can hunt during archery with a modern firearm?  Am I understanding this correctly?

Negative. You can just hunt with what weapon is legal for that season. Archery gear during archery season etc.

I'm kind of digging it because everyone is going to tag out early and by the time rifle season rolls around there will be less people in the woods to contend with. Guess it just depends how you look at it.

I have a different view, I love the multi deer tag.  I've hunted hard since opening day and have seen one other hunter, however, I have seen at least 2 legal bucks every day.
Sounds to me like you guys are in the wrong spots.

and you can use archery during muzzleloader and modern seasons , correct? just like you can use muzzleloader during modern season but only a modern F during its specific season? Because  I plan on bow hunting during all three seasons

It reminds me of rifle season.  Trucks driving around in the woods real slow, they stop, they glass, they keep driving.  Haven't seen any one hunting besides me, just a bunch of camo dressed city boys driving trucks around :D

If your hunting and seeing to many people your on the road or to close to the road.  Walk a mile from a road and hunt by yourself.
