Well I didn't win the derby, but we had a good time. I'm still wore out from all the running around, setting down riggers, checking lines........., but I wouldn't change it for the world! I entered a 9# fish which got me a bag of tackle. My son entered a 7lb fish that got him a prize in the kids derby. My friend Dave entered a 9.3 and got some tackle also. I lucked out again when I won a nice Abu Garcia reel for a side raffle I entered. My GF's prize was meeting Glen Hall from Hawg Quest and getting her pic taken with him. That's her favorite outdoor show. I'll post a few pic's when I get them uploaded.

Nice! I see a nice new shiny net....does it have a floatation device?
Lemme know if I can contribute to the cost of the loss. Otherwise, happy for you and yours for what looks like an excellent weekend!

Way to go Rip!
gotta love them Swedish level winds, I've got two blue's just like that, my only complaint is the drag washers are only good for about 20 big fish and then they need to be replaced with carbon matrix washers.
What was the top winning fish? please tell me it was OVER 14 lbs

I'll be hitting the salt again tomorrow with some friends. May be the last time out for silvers. I need to concentrate on getting a bear. Seasons almost over!

Wow CP that double rainbow looks awesome! Good job on the silvers, they are some great looking fish for sure. I'm going to hit it after work tonight, fish through the high tide change. I'm still trying to bonk a big boy. 10 lbs. is my biggie so far this year. I'd love to nail a 15. Biggest ever was 13. Tomorrow it's back to the bear woods.
